How to haveone email for all your emails like Iphone?

Ok switched from a 4s. One thing I hate already is that I have 1 aol account and 4 gmail and I have to switch to see all these accounts. I want to be able to click one app to view all like the inbox of the Iphone. What can I do or am missing?

The other alternative is the built in email application

When viewing your inbox, at the very top is an email icon that has "Inbox" selected from a drop down. Press the drop down and select "Combined view"

It only allows it in my aol account. Wont allow it in my gmail account.

It wont read gmail from the gmail app (its a completely different app). You have to configure the email client to have your gmail in it.

I have 3 email accounts all setup in the default email client on the phone

1 work
2 Gmail.

All in the same app and window, works exactly like the iPhone did.

I use the stock email client for work but the app doesn't save any of my emails. Every time it receives new emails it wipes out existing ones. It does this with my work and yahoo accounts. I've tried K9 and it does the same. Is there a setting in could change that would keep all my emails?

Go into your e-mail settings and pick Total as your amount of messages to keep. You may have to do this for each account.

I recommend MailDroid it has the combined inbox and has many other capabiities which in my mind make it the best mail app for Android

start the email app go to settings then click on the xyz@gmail.com and there is an option there of recent messages.

Thanks, but still not seeing it there. In using the stock app not for a gmail account, but for my work account. Not sure if this e is relevant; carrier: Verizon.

@all Sorry to have hi-jacked the topic of the original post.

yes i am talking abt the stock account as well not the gmail one when u click on settings u get a couple of options 1) General preferences and 2) Added accounts under which u should see your email address. Click on the email address and then u should get the option for Recent messages.

edit:-

some screenshots to make it a lil easier

The second screenshot is when u click settings click on the red box part and you should get the 1st screenshot where u can see the option for recent messages. Hope this helps.

@silentwitness thanks, but I think I'm sol. Here's a ss of my settings options. Maybe the difference is my employer's mail server vs gmail. Screenshot_2012-11-18-21-40-30-1-1a.jpg

Exchange email has different settings. The period to sync 1 week setting should mean your emails stay on the device for a week.
