How to install apps to SD Card directly?

Hello. Does anyone know how i can run apps from my SD card? There's a app i want but i can't download it because i have no space. Maybe i can download the app data on a computer and drag it to my sd card? But that probably won't work...Any ideas?

I tried [MOD]App2External_SD but it doesn't work.

Hello, read the last two pages (mostly towards the bottom of the last page) in the thread "A proposal theory for external SD storage". It completely swaps your internal storage for your SD card. I have a 32 GB Sansa and after I set it up (not too complicated) I now have 24 GB for my "internal" and 5 GB for "external". I can download big apps etc no problem. Of course variables to consider would be size/speed of your SD, the ROM you are on, etc. But it does work!

Also, if you're on a rooted 4.1.2 (JellyBean) rom with init.d support and don't want to try the method in that thread, I found Mounts2SD worked decent.

Is it called "Proposal/Theory for External SD storage solution on F6" i have no idea what he's talking about....or if its not, link me please? I'm rooted on
v4.1.2 am i suppose to get jellybean or something for init.d to work? xD i don't know.

What rom? Is it custom? Or stock (came with phone) that you rooted? Do you have a recovery installed?
Both methods to do this need a little work, but nothing hard. I believe the actual swap works best but thats for you to decide. Mounts2SD worked good for me, but it can be a little fussy at times.
You will have to partition your SD card so everything will be deleted on it. I do believe its possible to back up the contents (to your PC) and copy them back after partitioning but I used a new card so I am not 100% on that.

Info on M2SD:

Get back to me, I'll try to give you a ez version walk through, (even though WarrantyVoider's instructions are quite clear for straight swapping).

I dont know you're level of experience messing around with mods and such on Android, so just a heads up maybe you might want to try the suggested app above your post. That might be a easier and less risky solution...
I would read the posts I mentioned (either or both) to see if you want to embark on this journey. Once again, I would like to point out that this is not very hard but since I am not sure on your modding experience and I dont wont you to go into something blind. If you are unsure I can help as best as possible but if you're not comfortable with the idea of dealing with soft bricking your phone ,losing data or maybe having to restore from a .KDZ, than it might be better to look for an alternative.

Otherwise

to add recovery (a good idea anyway):

I always make a Nandroid backup to recover to my setup. If you have set up your SD card save it on there, if not you could save it on SDcard and put it on your PC.Or you could save it on your internal phone storage, and then onto the PC. My point being that if anything should go wrong (which is a possibility) you can restore the backup. Else it becomes complicated.)
Not sure, but if you need a way to boot into recovery search for rebooter on playstore.

I will leave it at this, just read everything before doing anything. All the info is there, the results are worth it!

**Please ask if unsure, I can help (some lol), but I want you to read and understand before diving in**

how did you get this to work? i followed every step in that thread and my phone just ended up freezing and battery drained in like 10mins

Using xperion ROM most versions of warrantvoiders implementations work. On kk 442 and or cm11 may require some fiddling... I know that WarrantyVoider's version using sensord and debuggerd work on xperion, kk and cm11 (page 5). The newer ones (page 5 post #251 and install method in post #253) work on xperion. The newest ones are WIPs ..
