Root How to install EXT4

I test drove SD Increase and it didn't do anything for me. I did 3 quad scores right after reboot and got 508, 511, and 486. I had a 536 right before and a 493 after resetting back to 128 and uninstalling. I wish this did work though.

Nonono this isn't the type of increase you can measure using something like quadrant or linpack. Unless you read, it's no permanent change to the SD card structure. Therefor the change can't be measure, except by experience. Try opening you pictures in gallery without SD increase, then with. You'll see a difference. A dramatic one at that. It will also make apps on the SD card much more speedy.

I got 350 points by applying ext4. 550 with Crapkernel, ext2 and advanced JIT for 580.

I get 239 with vampirefo's recovery, rfs, Crapkernel, advanced JIT and stock Froyo.

But really, what does a low quad score me for me? That I can't play games? I don't anyway.

Wipe and reformat your whole system.

So, what exactly is getting wiped and reformatted? Just the system? Everything in internal storage? The SD card? Can I use MyBackup to restore?

Just flash the clockwork recovery, its alot easier to switch to ext2/ext4

doing that right now, tell me if I'm doing this right...

I followed Cooper271's tutorial to get back to stock Froyo.
Installed Clockwork recovery with SWupdater.
Switched cache/data/system to ext4.
Flashed Crapkernel v3.
Installed Titanium Backup Pro.
Restored all apps+data.
Restart.

Linpack stayed about the same (9.119)
Quads went up 34% (342)

if you want higher quads i would use in clockwork ext2 is vamps ext4
so if you have ext2 your quads will be 500+

I only use my phone for the basic stuff, ie phone, text, email, voicemail, web browsing, etc. Sometimes I use Winamp, Slingbox, Google Maps. So for now, I think I'll take the stability of ext4 over the speed of ext2.
