Help How to Install MicroSD Card

I know how to physically put this in. My question is this. I notice that the internal storage, there is a partition called SDCARD. When I put in the actual physical SDCARD, what will happen to this partition? Do I need to physically move everything to the card, will it do it on it's own? Will it conflict on where the phone looks for things on the SDCARD?

It gets called extSdCard, see image below

It won't move anything to it, you can't move apps to the external microSDCard

Ok, so the external card is only for music, photos, videos etc. Can you set the camera to save pix and videos to the external SD card by default?

I've always thought it was stupid how internal memory gets labeled sdcard.
