Help How to instantly scroll to bottom or top of a page or app list??

Is there a touchscreen gesture or a keyboard shortcut to scroll directly to the top or bottom of a list or webpage (since we can bring up the keyboard by holding down menu)???

I'm using Dolphin Browser HD and there is a gesture to go to the top or bottom of a web page.

i have the milestone, but for texts you can get to the top of a long list in a thread by pressing up so the last text is highlighted, then press up and alt at the same time to get to the top of a thread.
