Just new to note 5 and would like to know how do you keep a page open without it closing on you. I have to keep swipping to reopen to page I am on. Painful if you are trying to follow a recipe or something

First thing to check is your 'Screen timeout'.

On my HTC it's in Settings-Display & Gestures. I expect it will be something similar on your Note 5.

How To Keep Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Screen On Longer:

  1. Turn on the Samsung Note 5.
  2. Go to the Homescreen, select on Menu and then Android Settings.
  3. Browse for “Device Information.”
  4. Select on the entry and you’ll see a “build number.”
  5. Tap on “build number” several times quickly.
  6. After the seventh time tapping an information box on the screen will appear with: “Developer options unlocked.”
Go to developer options within the settings and enable the developer options. After developer optionshas been enabled, then browse for the “stay awake” option. Finally, select the check box to enable the feature on the Samsung Note 5. This works best while charging. Using tommo47's method you should find an option to keep it on for an hour.

Works with the HTC 10 as well.
