How to launch non-market apps, already installed.

I installed a non-market .apk app on my new Evo using Astro File Manager, by clicking the install button in the file manager interface. But how do I actually launch the app to use it now that it is installed? I can't find an icon or a place to make a shortcut to.

You can find all installed apps in the app tray from any home screen. You can also create a shortcut to it by longpressing a blank area on any homescreen, then tapping on Program, then the app you want.

Did you enable "Unknown sources" to allow non-market apps to install? Its under Settings, Applications...Do always be careful what you install..

A properly built app should create icons. What app did you install?

This is beta software, an AVI/ Divx/Xvid player called Rockplayer. I never installed a non-market app before. Figure maybe I was missing something obvious. Is there a way to launch an app without the pre-made icon?
