Help how to list people last name first

I would like to know how how to list people last name first universally.. (Not change each contact)

The only way I know to do it is to go in and change the display name individually. Unfortunately I don't think there is a setting to do all of them at once.

Companionlink Express will do it, but you have to purchase this for around $40. I use it so synchronize Lotus notes to Google Calendar and Contacts, so I can verify that it works. I guess it depends on how bad you want that feature. It was worth it to me.
Now, if I could just sort by Company Name.
