How to long press for capitals

I love my Blackberry for this - I just hold down the letter and it gives me a capital letter. Is there any way at all I can get my Nexus 7 to do this?

Never used a tablet, but you should see an arrow key pointing up and pressing that will give you upper case letters. Hope this helps.

arrow key on the left. press and release, then press the letter - capital. if you want caps lock, double tap the arrow key. then tap again to end caps lock.

Thanks to both of you, but I have been using the up arrow key on my computers since 1988 and on smartphones for years. My issue is not either of the above. I want to be able to simply hold down the key for any letter and get a capital, much like the Blackberry. Simply put, I want to use only one key to accomplish this. Is there any software that can do this? I have installed Perfect Keyboard and Go Keyboard, neither of which addresses my need.

Understood now. I'm not aware of any 3rd party keyboard that provides this. Good luck.
