Root How to make a Custom ROM from other Custom ROMS

Ok so I have flashed a few roms on my phone now (MIUI, AOKP CM9, Sleipner, etc.) I really like the messaging app from the version of MIUI that i have right now, it pops up when i get a message without messing up the game im playing and such. But then I also like the lockscreen of sleipner and then also I like the notification bar of AOKP CM9 and the standby transition from cm9 how can I make a ROM that is the combination of all of these.

First step - learn computer programming. If you can't write code, you can't read code that someone else wrote. (Trust me, it's a LOT harder reading someone else's code than it is writing your own.)
