How to not save sent e-mails

Hi,

I just bought my first Android phone (2.3.3), and I'm experiencing what seems to be a well known issue: when I send an e-mail from my mobile, it gets duplicated in the Sent folder every time I synchronize.

Since I couldn't find a resolution to this, I figured that a workaround would be not to save a copy of sent mails, but instead BCc them to me so I can retrieve them from my inbox on my good old POP client on my desktop computer.

But I couldn't find any way to not save sent e-mails in the e-mail app. Is that at all possible? If not, is there any other workaround or fix for this extremely irritating bug?

Thanks!

My solution: Get a gmail account.

Unless you absolutely need your email for something, I would just get a gmail account and forward any mail from your old account to your gmail. Gmail app works great, and saves battery because it supports push email instead of checking at regular intervals. I honestly see no reason not to use gmail and can't figure out why people don't switch.

In terms of your problem though I don't know how to fix it, sorry :( I havn't even touched the android email client ever.
