Help How to organize apps in he apps section

Newbie
Hi, i am looking to organize my apps without downloading other apps to organize them such as appsorganizer etc..

i tried nova launcher but it's a bit complicated though..

Is there a way to just keep the apps without altering the original frame but to organize them in an iphone way. By doing this it will ease my reach for certain apps.

I hope i was clear..

Thx

I have three pages on my Note 2 home screen. First one is all of the apps I use the most. Second page is nothing but folders of apps. Each folder is for it's own set of apps so I have a travel folder, games, entertainment, etc. This page is left intentionally blank so this is where new apps are found. if I like the app, it gets moved to a folder. If not, then it gets deleted. This is also how I have it setup on my iPad as well. Not sure if this answers your question but I found this to be the best way, for me at least, to organize my apps.

I don't know if nova uses its own app drawer or if it just open the stock one, but if it opens the stock one you go to your app drawer then press menu > view type > customizable grid. After that you can long press and rearrange apps like would would the apps on iOS. Hope this helps

My setup is similar to the one h1r0ll3r explained. The biggest help in getting rid of clutter was to create a folder named 'Unused' in which I stuffed all the bloatware I couldn't disable and also the app shortcuts for things I access via widget or home screen.
Also in the unused folder are those I use extremely rarely but do not wish to delete, ie. compass (rarely used), my browser (it's on my home screen), GSAM Battery Monitor (it's always running).
For example, tapping on my home screen clock widget opens my calendar, so there's no need for me to have the app shortcuts for either clock or calendar taking up space.
There's about 15 apps in that folder that I won't (or can't) delete, and now they no longer take up space in Apps.

@h1r0ll3r It sounds and seems to look very convenient, but honestly i wish to know how to do that knowing that i have mannnyyyy apps downloaded.
If you can explain the way in how to i would appreciate or maybe show us some pics if it's not too personal.
Thx

Sure. First pic is my main screen/page with all the apps I use most frequently.

Second page is nothing but folders for the remainder of my apps. I use these from time to time but not as frequently as the apps on the first page.

Third page is just leftover apps. Basically it's a holding space for all the other apps I download each day. If they're good apps, they get moved into the folders section. If not, then I'll just delete them.

Not having used an iPhone I’m a bit stymied by that one but you do mention 'reach'. So with that in mind, I use 3 screen for 'Home' and 3 screens for 'Apps'. That way I can reach any screen, say for Home, by a single swipe either forward or backward. To achieve that I'm very selective with the shortcuts I put on the Home screens. As for Apps, well I have so many they just have to go into folders to get them all onto 3 screens.

Start by creating a some folders eg 'Games', 'Bloatware' and 'Miscellaneous' from the Apps’ screen Menu / Create Folder option. Empty folders with 'Empty Folder' icons will duly appear on that screen. Then select Menu / Edit and drag the appropriate apps onto the folder icons that you have created. Its rather nifty but the folder icons will change as you do so! Now there may be only a few apps that are appropriate for the folders on the screen with the folders, so you have the problem of dragging the remaining apps from one of the other screens. I find that somewhat tricky to do.

At that point, I use an app called AppZorter to shuffle the apps and folders around the other screens and then continue the process of dragging the apps to the folders. By jiggling with the various settings in AppZorter eg alphabetic sort orders, grouping system apps differently to downloaded ones etc it is not too difficult to get things organised.

With the current settings I use for AppZorter, I have the System apps in alphabetical order on the first 2 screens and all the downloaded ones in their folders, on the last screen. However, now that I have more experience of which system app I'm not likely to use I may well dump a few more into the 'Bloatware' folder.

My apologies for the long post but the process really is much easier to do it than to describe!!

I think I misunderstood. I have a very minimalistic home page, so the apps I have, I either have a shortcut (multiview mostly) or I keep them in my app drawer. Since there are plenty of apps in my app drawer which I will NEVER have to open, there is also an option in the menu to hide apps. That will reduce the clutter. My app drawer has 20 items in it, so they all fit on one page in the drawer which means I NEVER swipe pages to get to any app I use.
