How to play music by date?

When I had a Nokia 2700, I used the inbuilt music player. My memory card had a folder with the latest songs. I sorted the list by date (descending order), which means the latest ones i added are right on top. So when i hit the first song file, it plays in the same order as saved on the memory card.

Can the same be done on Samsung Galaxy Note 2? If yes, then how?
 
I've not used your device, but try making a new playlist and see if there is an option to choose date added or something similar.

If not you may consider looking into an alternative music player such as Poweramp: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer

Poweramp supports this feature and is an amazing music player overall. It does however cost money but it has a 15 day trial (fully featured) to see if you think it's worth it.

There may also be free alternatives that offer this feature as well, but I'm unaware of any. I personally use Poweramp and love it. Worth the money in my opinion.
