I have a Verizon Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phone that is no longer active. After I dropped Verizon I also wiped my phone and I use it often around the house on WiFi. Since I wiped the phone, every time I turn it on it says activate now and I have delta triangle thingy in the top menu by my clock. If I hit "Activate Now" the phone stats calling Verizon. Also, the top of the drop down menu is blank, where it should say Verizon Wireless or Boost or whatever carrier you have.
Is there a way I can active my phone without getting a plan?
Is there a way to put something in the carrier section of the drop down menu?
I don't want to phone to be actually active or hacked, I just want the annoying message to go away.
