Apps How to promote your app for free?

Use social media (Facebook, Twitter) make yourself a page for your app and promote it that way.
A quick Google search will help you find ways of using social media to promote your app.

I agree. Social media and forums are the best way. For example AndroidPIT

Try to target the right audience for you. Don't spam with a lot of messages. Write the the best features which describe why your app is different.

Also, you can use a social sdk that let your users comment on your app and pass it between their friends.

I know that appoptim has one, that can double your users.

Search for appflood e-book , that will give you a few good tips for ways to market your apps.
