How To Recover Deleted Docs! (tell me!)

I saw a bunch of old docs in my Android My Files > Documents folder, and they looked like they were taking up room, and were old, so I deleted them.

Then, when I went to go look in my Dropbox for something, I realized that my Documents folder was somehow connected to my Dropbox. I don't understand, (yes, I have the dropbox app on the phone, but it normally just syncs the index, and if you want a file, it downloads it then.)

But, how can I restore files that were deleted from my My Files > Documents folder? (please!)

1. Do you have versioning activated in Dropbox? If so, it might help.
2. What file explorer are you using? ES File Explorer for example has a trash feature, so files are not Iimediately deleted at first and are therefore recoverable.
