How to recover pictures?

Hi, I have a zefone 3 zoom with a broken screen and I haven't used it in a year, I decided to try to recover the pictures and started chaging it, in the beggining it was weird, just vibrating, then all seemed normal when it stopped and the charging led light poped up, but it doesn't seem to be turning on, even though I can't see the screen, there's no indication whatsoever that is turning on, no vibration, no sound, the touch makes no vibration, nor the screen buttons, so I think it must've ran out of power and now it's doesn't know that it has battery again. Does anyone know how to fix this? if there's anyway to recover my pictures or something? like just access it's flash drive?

this is why i always recommend you use google photos. every new phone i get i just sign in to google and.....bam!!! my photos are there.

this sounds more like a battery issue. how long have you left it charging for?

yeah, I thought it could be. I left it charging for the whole day, basically. The thing that I found weird was that it started vibrating a lot, then just a few long ones, than it stopped and the led light started working and it was red, like if it was charging ans after a couple hours it turned green, like if it's 100% charged, but still it won't show no other signs of being alive.

weird thing as well, when I connect it to pc, the computer makes a noise and the first time it even said it recognized a android something, but it's unable to show anything whatsoever, not even the devices manager seems to be showing it.

A phone does have to actually work to access as like a flash drive. But if it's completely inoperable and dead, you got no chance, other than getting it repaired.

Was it screen-locked originally? Because if it's locked, a PC can't access data on it. That's a security feature.

thanks, I thought there would be a way to access the data, I'm not sure if it's completely dead, because it does charge and the led light turns on, I red somewhere that sometime when the battery is too low, you need to charge it for a while and then give a command so the cellphone knows it's charged, but I don't know if it's true

yeah, but that's not the biggest problem, I actually found out a way to show the screen on the pc, apparently you can take screenshots when it's connected and it will show on the folder, but it needs to be on, which doesn't seem to be happening with the cellphone

if it has been been dead for over a year, i doubt the battery can hold a charge now....so i think you are sol unless you can figure out a way to replace the battery.

like @mikedt said you might have to get it fixed.

Yeah, I thought so, but I was hoping someone could give me a different solution since I just want the pics, but thanks anyways
