Help How to reinstall Mail application?

I set up an Exchange account on the Mail application but the Exchange client won't run. It just shows a blue horizontal bar at the top and the rest of the screen is black.

I wish to reinstall the Mail application. How do I find it to reinstall it? It appears to be a standard app included by Samsung or my telco, because when I restore to factory state it is there.

Any help out there? My Galaxy S is still contactless, ie my address book is empty.

My Exchange server was working fine earlier with my Nokia E71. Before I traded in my E71 for the Galaxy, I made sure that all my contacts were safe on the Exchange server. I thought I could simply sync and download all to my Galaxy.
