Help How to remove FreeX10

Hey,

I'm thinking about putting the FreeX10 Froyo ROM on my phone.
Problem is, I'm worried that if i don't like it, I won't be able to remove it easily.
I can't post on the developer thread on XDA, so I'm asking here.

How do I undo or remove the ROM?

Also, if I do install it, will my apps still be there? If not, what is the quickest way to put them back on?

Thanks

I just put freex10 on my at the weekend and the only real problem I had was with my contacts. I used xrecovery to backup my 2.1 and titanium for my apps. If your using another launcher then it will probably have some way of saving your settings (I use adequate ex). Only problem I had was transferring my contacts but I eventually got them by reflashing 2.1 and using stock contact folder in the app drawer, I exported my contacts to SD card then reflashed freex10 and imported contacts. At least I think that's how I did the contacts lol if you need any other help I will try to help

Sorry should read adw ex in brackets lol. since you put freex10 on your SD card if you don't like it you could reflash 2.1 and delete from card.

Yes, an xRecovery restore will completely overwrite everything that that is on there before (doesn't affect SD though). So it will remove all traces of 2.2 and put 2.1 back on your phone in the state you last left your 2.1 ROM.

If you are going to do a restore but want to go back to Beta4, make an xRecovery backup of it before restoring 2.1.

Oh, cool.

So if I keep my backups up to date, I can swap between the two versions whenever I want.

Awesome

Thanks for the help ^.^
