Help How to reset battery meter?

Hi all,
This one is about the "battery meter" and how one can get it to reset. I recently upgraded to KitKat and the phone/battery are working really well.

I have also started to use a 80 % to 40 % charging cycle/day which is supposed to delay battery wear.

However, it's irksome to see that every time I take the phone off the charger, the battery meter doesn't reset and carries over the readings from the past few charges.

I notice that it starts from zero only when I charge the battery beyond the 90 % limit.

Is there any way to reset the battery meter so that it starts from a zero reading irrespective of the upper charge limit of the battery?

Not as far as I'm aware. It's just the way Android handles battery stats.

A Google engineer explained it in a G+ post a while back, I'll see if I can find it.

A 3rd Party app like GSAM Battery Monitor might give you the stats you want though?

What I do is charge it up to 100 then reboot it that refresehhes it for me
