How to reset Child Phone

How can I factory reset a parent managed child phone?
I've never used any parental controls, so I can't speak from firsthand knowledge, but when you set that phone up you probably set an option somewhere that requires your password to do certain tasks, and I'd imagine factory resetting the phone would be one of them. :o

Try going through the parental control settings on that phone to see if you can find anything to undo. Then look for 'factory reset' among the options in System Settings. But before actually resetting it, be sure to log out of the Google account it's logged in under. Be careful how you do things, because with Google's built-in security, FRP, you don't want to end up with a phone you can't set back up again, and that could happen if you reset without logging out first.

Any ideas how one can wipe the phone and start again?
Sure. First, log out of your child's Google account; there's info here you can read to be sure you're doing it right.

Then log in with your credentials and make sure you've saved anything important before proceeding. Then log out of Google as above, go to System Settings and locate 'Factory reset.' (It's in different places on different devices.)

When you're satisfied that you haven't missed anything important, follow the prompts to reset the phone. This will result in a just-received-from-the-manufacturer device. :)
