ok so i bought this Samsung epic 4G from my friend, he had it for a while and rooted it. apparently he rooted it to the point that the phone no longer knows its MEID. i have to original box so i know what it is, and i need to activate the phone under my line. does anyone know how i can get the phone to recognize its MEID? if it helps he used cyanogenmod to root it.

Root how to restore the MEID?

I would just restore it to a factory non-rooted device, then register it. Then, if you want to root it, go right ahead.
