How to retrieve deleted phone numbers on my SGS2

When cleaning up my contact numbers I accidentally deleted a few numbers that I deal with on a regular basis. Is it possible to recover these number. If so, how ?

Hi nazian. I'm guessing they are likely backed up to your google account. I think if you go into your contacts menu you might find some sort of sync or restore option. I hope this helps.

Can you say from personal experience that that works, and moreover works with modern devices (this thread is 4 years old, so what works with an S2 then may not work now)?

There are a lot of apps that make such claims, but most of them don't actually deliver, so I'd really want to know about personal experience rather than what the manufacturer claims.
