How to root a MT7-TL00

I have an old MT7-TL00, I hope this is the platform for it, as I can't find a Mate 7 forum.

I would like to turn the phone into a navigation aid only, so rooting it and re-load a new Andoid is needed, as it only has Chinese Language on it, and no basic Google services.

Would anyone know how to root the whole phone and reintall a new English version of Andoid for it ?

once you are rooted and have twrp recovery then you can make a nandroid backup and flash a custom rom.

there is plenty of roms to choose from.

on rooting or flashing roms, please make sure to read, read, and then read some more. if you have the time i would read all of the pages within the thread. sometimes you get some good tips and troubleshooting from them.
