I suspect Verizon pushed out a firmware update that removed the exploit vulnerabilities in this tablet. Of course the Ellipsis is now no longer supported and is long discontinued.

no devs = no fun

Android 6.x, 7.x, or later can't be rooted by app only exploit rooting tools, like King Root. The "waiting for update" is because King Root is now discontinued, and the Chinese servers it's trying to ping or phone home to have been shut down.

Problem with the Ellipsis now is that it's been discontinued for a few years, and was only available in the US from Verizon. Which basically means there's no devs that can work on it, and possibly find another way of rooting it.

So you might he SOL I think.

like i said earlier anything higher then 4.4 will not work with firmaroot. and as @mikedt suggested support for kingo root is not there anymore and probably would not work on a tablet with a higher android os. you can try reading the link i provided. there are some tips that might get it to work in the following pages.

Ok thank you again...yep i am SOL...just curious would kingroot, framaroot or kingoroot work on a lg k8v phone?..thanks again for all support and advice
