Root How to root I337z cricket s4 for tethering HELP!!!!

hello i have a friend that is trying to tether there phone and i cant figure out how i think i need to root the phone to do that can someone help me please and thank you the phone is a s4 I337Z with 4.4.2 on it

What he's saying is, I think you got to root, hack and modify your phone to enable tethering, the alternative would be to pay the monthly tethering fee to Cricket.

I don't have your phone but usually if you don't want to active it thru your Carrier you either flash a custom rom or edit the build prop on the stock rom to allow tethering. You could ask in the thread I linked you to and see if anyone has a working hotspot.

i work for cricket i dont know much about rooting androids at all i am a apple person for some reason with the cricket model it does not have the option for the tethering in the menus so what i am guessing to get that option back i will have to root and i dont know how to do that i went and looked at that page and it said on there you have to root i am so lost im sorry guys lol but please help trying to help a older lady

If you work for Cricket and the lady is your customer, and don't want to root and hack, you might have to sell her a tethering plan then. Which would enable the tethering menu on her Cricket phone.

Carrier version phones will often have certain features disabled or locked, such as tethering, until you pay an extra fee or subscription for it.

This advice is coming from China, where we don't have to deal with this.

i dont mind rooting it i have no problem with that its just not in the menus of the phone on the carrier side of this she has hotspot service she just needs the option on the phone
