Root How to Root My Vortex?

Hey there everyone,

I have finally entered the world of smart phones, and I got myself a Vortex about two months ago. I've gotten really sick of the bloatware, and have decided that it's time to root the device.

My primary concern is that I have never done this before. I have the 2.2.1 upgrade, and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to direct me to a step-by-step guide?

I am also looking to ROOT my Vortex @ 2.2.1 I was trying to follow the guide on Downgrading. I am having no luck with it at this point. Any help or pointing in the right direction is appreciated.

Now, could anyone explain to me how to connect the dots? If I follow the instructions on that link to downgrade to 2.2, could someone point me to step-by-step instructions on how to root the LG Vortex?

just get the application called z4root and run it.

Problem is keeping the phone in 2.2 seems like it wants to continuously download and update the firmware. Trying to find a fix for it isnt easy..
