Root How to root Samsung Galaxy S Gingerbread 2.3.6

thanks a lot, my galaxy s is now running android 4.1.2! camera doesnt work unfortunately, but it did have an intermittent problem before i rooted. other than that, so far so good. thanks again.

i have tried installing cameraMX, still doesnt work. every now and again the camera would work fine so it cant be a hardware problem. but most of the time it would just say "camera failed". now with cyanogenmod 10 it opens up but just displays a black screen. oh well

Seems like a problem that would be hard to fix. Sorry I have no ideas but I'll try have a think.

dont worry ive accepted that its never going to work. if i'd been able to root this galaxy s1 sooner, i might not have bought a new phone. its that much faster. and the battery life is better as well. im not sure about rooting my new phone though because i dont want to void warranty.

Pls, i'l contact you when i want to root my galaxy ace, i'v paid whn it stucked in samsung screen(i mean it didn't boot) thnx guy.

Hey so i have no idea what I am doing. I just started using an old Galaxy s from tmobile. I can't download like anything because there is like no space. Saw rooting was an option to get rid of all the junk that comes on the phone, but I don't understand the different directions I find. I don't have a middle home button or fw4, so I don't understand what to do. Please help!
