Help how to rotate screen

paxham

Lurker
Pardon me for asking a very basic question, but I do not know how to get my screen to rotate on my new Galaxy Note II. I have two other Android devices, a Nexus 7 and an old Droid X2 that do it automatically, but I can't find the setting in my new phone and it is really impairing my enjoyment of it.

This is the first of many questions I will be asking, but it seems so basic I wanted to ask it first. I'm sure you can help.

Thanks,

Paul

Settings/Display/auto rotate, make sure the box is ticked.
Alternatively you can set it in your drop down menu so that you can enable/disable, I use that alot.

Also note that if you are running stock TouchWiz (with no third party launcher or force rotation app), auto-rotate is disabled in:
1) Lock Screen
2) TouchWiz launcher
3) App drawer

Also be dependent on the app as some lock rotation (for obvious reasons).
