How to run apps from sd card?

Is it possible to put the app data on sd card and run the app? Because it takes up too much space on my phone and i want more then just two apps... I tried using file manager to move the app data to sd card in android/obb folder but that didn't work =/ i also tried the method to set default install location to sd card but the apps still doesn't download to my sd card. Hmm maybe i need to root my phone? But there's no guide on how to root this phone on this updated firmware... anyone can help me??? :(

There is a root guide for 12b firmware. You have to flash back to the old firmware, root, use ota root keeper, ota update, then restore root. And the pro version of link2sd will link app+app data. I covered this in detail in a thread that got deleted. Idk why they deleted it, I'm just promoting the only app I found that worked. I tried the SD swap and the SD hack but I had issues and the developer was to busy to resolve them. I have 12b, rooted, with link2sd pro linking all my apps to SD second partition, and I converted some system apps to user apps, which broke the apps till I ran fix permission app to fix them. All of these apps are in the google play store. I'm in bed on my phone. If you need help still pm me and I will help you in more detail when I can get in front of my computer and use a keyboard that is better suited for my fat fingers. This is such a common issue I might post a new how to thread about how I managed to fix my out of memory issues on the f6, because I've tried every suggestion and this is the only one that works perfectly for me without any issues at all.

Just curious...is the link2sd pro...almost like the SD hack...if it is I think I'm going to update to 12b and use that instead...

Sort of. You create a second partition on your SD and then use link2sd to move all apps to SD and it creates a link on internal. So you will show having apps installed on internal but they take up no space, see?

The only reason I recommend pro is because it will allow you to link app data as well. With the standard edition I still had issues, so I paid the two bucks for pro and haven't had a problem since

Oh and there is a custom ROM by game theory. Uses link2sd and is based on 12b firmware. I'm thinking about giving it a go.
