How to Search for Nearby Pokemon? - Pokémon GO

Ive heard a lot of friends who play Pokemon GO complain about what a pain it is to constantly monitor the map to see what Pokemon are nearby. Are there any tools or apps that let you search for a Pokemon and see if that Pokemon is nearby, or even better, get an alert or notification when a specific Pokemon is nearby your current location?

The game does that. Unless you mean a specific pokey.

Yeah I mean a specific pokey. Like you input a pokey name and it either shows you where it is closest to you or alerts you when that specific pokey is within X miles of you.

That doesn't sound like fun. It reminds me of the people who play Wii Bowling without standing up just cause they can, not cause they have to.

The point of the game to me is the mystery and adventure. The exercise doesn't hurt either

It might not sound like fun, but if you really like or want a specific Pokemon and could get a notification when it was within a few miles, that might get you playing even more.

They could even add this pokeydar as a paid feature of sorts.

Turns out there's an iOS app that serves as Pokey radar it's called Poké Radar

Now we have a webpage that shows where they are, what they are and how long they're likely to be there. This one uses the Ninatic API so no user spoofing can happen.
