Hi everyone! When I receive an email notification and the email I have been sent is to my gmail account when I pull down the notification bar at the top of my screen and click on the notification it automatically opens the email in the gmail app and I was wondering if anyone out there knows how I can set it so it automatically open in the email app which I much prefer to use. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers

Gmail is the default email app. If you want to change default programs, there are default program apps. Try Default App Manager Lite.

Because it's the Gmail app which is giving you the notification, not the Email app. Open the Email app and register your Gmail account. Then in settings, go to your Gmail account, open sync settings and turn of Gmail sync.
