Help How To Set Individual Alerts

Can someone tell me how to set individual notices per contact?
IE person A has; 1 sound for emails, 1 for text messages, 1 ringtone
for everyone in my contact list....I know there must be a super simple way to do this but for the life of me I cannot figure it out.

You can set ringtones per contact from within the people app.

You can set text tone per contact using handcent, chomp, and I think sms popup.

To my knowledge you cannot set an email alert per contact.

YOu can do custom ringtones....

But AFAIK, it's the same sound for email/txt that you can select in each of thos apps.

Very interesting idea though!

I was able to do individual sounds per person, per person message type on my old Blackberry 8830. You can set individual tones for each SMS sender on my old iphone as well, different from their ring tone.
