How to set up a custom unlock pattern?

Isn't there a way to set up a custom swipe pattern to unlock the GS3? Not the connect the dots patterns, I'm talking about tracing a photo or image on your unlock screen. I could have swore that I saw this on a GS3 commercial??

Im sure ive seen it but think it was on a lockscreen app.
Maybe on the ad they just made it look slick n easy usin the normal pattern?

lol... no. the tv commercial you saw was for windows 8.

Haha, yeah...I think you are correct! I made a lock screen wallpaper with a Galaxy 'S' logo and I wanted to trace the S for the unlock! I can come close with the grid pattern but not 100%. I looked at the photo lock screen aps but they all seem buggy. I'll stick with this for now!

I know its not the same, but you could switch off the trace ('Make Pattern Visible').

You still have to draw the pattern but it won't display
