how to set up a dual boot? (having two roms on the same device)

Hi.
I flashed the CM 10 a couple of days ago on my I9100G.while its's beautiful and smooth it still has some issues.

I read it some where that it's possible to have both cm9 stable and cm10 nightly on an s2.

It would mean a lot time if you could point me in the right direction. And please tell me if you would advise against it.

The Latest Siyah Kernels Support Dual Booting, But I Don't Know If They Are Compatible With The G Variant!

If They Are, Or You Find Another That Is, Its As Simple As Flashing The Kernel, Go To Options, And Swap Current ROM To Secondary, Flash A New ROM As Standard, Flash The Kernel Again And You Have It Dual Booting!

thank you sir.

unfortunately the Siyah kernels are not compatible with the G variant

though i have found a an app called boot manager that says it can do such a thing. but it doesn't officially support neither the s2 nor the G variant.

could you please tell me what are the pros and cons of dual booting?

i dont know anything about the boot manager app, and im at my work just now anyway so cant check.

Pros are that you can obviously run 2 roms, so trying one out (especially experimental ones like cm10) is easier as you can keep another rom available so if the primary doesnt suit, the secondary can be used instead.

Main con would be the space that running a secondary rom uses as it saves all apps etc so i bvelieve when i did it, it was looking for around 2-4 GB of space! (but i did have a lot of crap saved.lol)

Id always research and check before going ahead with it, make sure it is definetly ok for your phone so you dont go bricking it, also do a search of pros an cons for dual booting!
