Apps how to start learning Application development on android?

hello to all I am a new member to this forum and I want to learn application development on android. I am very confused from where to start? so please help me out and tell me from where I can start learn Android. thanks

First you need eclipse, Android SDK and JDK

And here you can find some tutorials. Otherwise i can recommend you to buy a book.

Do you have programming background? I mean, have you tried other programming languages such as Java, C, C++, VB etc? You will find that learning android will be much easier if you have background.

Anyways, resources are all over the internet! What's best about it is that you don't get to follow any curriculum on what to learn first.

I started with the Android Application Development for Dummies book lol just came out in december. It tells you what you need and how to install them...eclipses,SDK's...etc Then walks you though making some apps.
