How to stop 15 minute boot loops

Lars

Yesterday my phone started rebooting every fifteen minutes. Usually while I was on a call. Really annoying. I figured the timing had to be a clue. Since the phone goes into power saver mode after fifteen minutes I figured that was a good place to start looking. I switched the phone into Performance Mode where it doesn't turn off data after fifteen minutes and the problem went away. I haven't tried switching it back to see if it was a temporary corrupted setting or an app issue.

I have heard of other things causing reboots. Corrupted data on the SD card and/or internal memory. Deleting the .android_secure, ANDROID, LOST_DIR and thumbnails inside DCIM have also reported to stop reboots. That would explain why boot loops don't go away with a master reset because the SD remains. Also using an SD card formerly from another phone but not reformated.

Hope that helps someone.
