I downloaded handcent yesterday and want to keep it but everytime I get a txt 2 notifications come up, one for handcent and one for original message, is there a way to disable thr standard message app ?
When I was on firmware xxx16 I couldn't do it even by switching off the notification. But when I upgraded to xxx23 it started to work properly. If it hadn't I would have uninstalled it.
Open up the default sms app.
Click left button at the bottom of the phone.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down.
Uncheck Notifications towards the bottom of the Settings menu.
Now you will just receive notifications from Handcent.
