How to stop notifications from popping up from the top of the screen

Hey all. I used to have it where when is receive notifications, the app icon would display at the very top by the clock. Since getting my new phone, a mini pop up drops down showing the message before disappearing and going back to just showing the app icon up top.

I have my notification pop up style set to brief instead of detailed but this still occurs. Any ideas?

Sure just slide the blue slider to the right

unfortunately that is how it is on sammy phones. its the same on my z fold 3. for me it is what i'm used. it disappears fairly quickly and does the job a notification is supposed to do....notify you of things from your apps.

Thank you but I must have had another setting on my old phones because I've never had it like this before I got the S22. Usually I would transfer my data/settings from phone to phone and have it stay consistent but I lost my old phone this time

It's a newer android os, plus a newer Samsung launcher called One UI. not sure where the feature lies in, but this setting does not get transferred via Smart Switch.

Try typing "notification" in the settings search bar and look through everything that comes up. I think on my phone it's called "heads up" which I can toggle off.
