Apps how to stop scrolling ?

Hi everyone,

Really i spent about 4 days in this problem with no result..





how can i stop the index-alpahbtical section or the scrolling-bar when i start search using edittext.

i used Intent to pass the value of edittext to the scrolling class and check if not empty scrolling.hide() ,but i got error massge and can't work,

any help please

when i start search uing EditText the alphabet go up, i want to hide this alphabet(that inside the red-circle) when i use EditText search.
