hi,
i would like to stream, with WIFI, the audio being played on my PC to my android 2.2 HTC DESIRE.

is there an app that can do this? many streaming apps seem centered around a music player like itunes or spotify :(

thanks!

do you mean steam music from your pc to your phone, if so gmote is perfect,

but if you mean is there an app to stream the sound that your pc is making from program x or game y, then I dont know of one. sorry.

I've used shoutcast to stream music and announcements for gaming clan events. It's the only thing that comes to mind. I had a short playlist and put in a few announcements a friend recorded. iirc you don't need to open up external ports for it to work... hope this helps.

will check out gmote for sure, thanks!

the reason why i want to stream the music being played on my PC is so i can plug my android phone into some portable speakers that i will put around the house.
then i can have music in whatever room i am in :)

and i hope this can help me stream ANY AUDIO from my PC such as spotify...

thanks!

ok, i tried gmote and yup, i can take an mp3 from my PC and play it on my HTC DESIRE which is awesome...

however,

1) is there a way to stream an entire playlist which is in my itunes or spotify library?
2) what about simply streaming ANY audio being played on my PC?

am gonna try the shoutcast recommendation as well.
