I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 on eBay as "unlocked". It is definitely rooted verified by Root Checker, I use the phone on Cricket. The model is SGH-I337.
I can't get into Recovery Mode though. Pressing Vol Up-Power-Home just boots the phone normally. I installed ROM Manager, and the first screen it brings up is:
Is it saying that I already have both CWM and TWRP installed? Or is it expecting me to know what is or isn't installed and to pick the right option?
Since I didn't do the rooting myself, I don't want to risk bricking it by doing something stupid. I'm just about 100% certain it's stock firmware, nothing done but rooted, but is there a way I can check any info I need before I go any further?
And if I'm installing a custom recovery now, would you recommend CWM or TWRP? I've used CWM a lot on a previous phone, but TWRP sounds very nice. I've looked around for Goo Manager, but couldn't find it at the Play Store, but I did find TWRP Manager. Has that replaced Goo Manager and should I use TWRP Manager instead of ROM Manager? I also have SuperSU installed in case that's relevant.
Thanks for any assistance.
