I got a Motorola G and need to transfer my data from the Pixi.

To do lists, Memos, and Contacts. Calendar i don't need.

I tried hotsyncing but I have windows 7 and it doesnt support the hotsync. is there any way i can drag the files from the palm to the moto g?

What format can the files be saved in? Contacts are VCF and can be edited and put in contacts by using File Explorer - if the others use any common format, you might be able to do to it. A lot of stuff can be exported using CSV.

From what I recall of my Palm days none of the files are in a standard format, they are mainly in internal Palm database format.

I'm sure there are people around who know how to "hack" them into a more meaningful form but the only official way is by sync to a PC, which translates the files in the process.

You should be able to send contacts via BT - that at least uses a standard format.

Unfortunately syncing the Palm with a computer is usually the first step in such transfers.

I downloaded the Aceeca driver and went to device manager but it's not detecting the palm to install the driver

Certain programs for the Palm synced in traditional formats. If you have Docs to Go or something like it, it will save DOC, TXT. CSV and comma delimited are common to many programs. The shopping app I use (Hungry) exports as CSV. Any spreadsheet will take a CSV file.

If you can save your notes as TXT or RTF, you might find an app that will import them.
