How to Turn off 3G and Browser not working?!

HOw do you turn off 2g so only 2g network is on?

And when im on my data connection not wifi my browser doesnt seem to work, just says unable to find page, im on T mobile, it did work before, any ideas?

Not sure what you mean? You mean turn of 3g?

Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Mobile network -> Network Mode -> GSM only

Not sure on the other, but it all depends on the network you are getting around your area.

Edit: Wow, seems to have sorted a problem, when it was on i never got any signal in my room i turn it to 2G only and bang full bars, someone care to explain why that was?
 
This answer is somewhat simplistic, but... 2G (GSM) and 3G (WCDMA or whatever is available in your area) are completely different signals, so it is entirely possible to receive them with different strengths. If you enable both, the phone will try and use the better (i.e. 3G) signal where it can. You must have had just enough strength on 3G for the phone to stay on that rather than falling back to 2G, even though the 2G signal was stronger.
