Help How to turn off 3G Network (run on EDGE)?

Is there a way to turn of 3G on this phone at all? I've tried looking online, but nothing seems to work. I've also tried downloading some recommended widgets, but they just take me to the mobile settings page, which doesn't have the option to change it.

I would like to have the option to switch to EDGE network only if my battery is low, but there doesn't seem to be the option anywhere in the menu I can find. Thanks for your help!

I use DataSwitch(it has an image of earth with a red x) to turn on/off data network.
