Root How to Unbrick L45C

Ok so you bricked your phone somehow and you need it ASAP!
Just follow this. Skip to step 3 if you have installed drivers already before.

Step 1: Get drivers here and install them
LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN37AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.7.2.exe

Step 2: Reboot

Step 3: Make sure phone has at least 50% battery

Step 4: Get firmware here

Step 5: Download this and extract
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip

Step 6: Put phone in emergency mode

Step 7: Follow these steps in order (This is from the extracted "KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip" ZIP)

  1. Install msxml.msi
  2. Disable antivirus software
  3. Open UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe
  4. Wait for the program to open
  5. Look for "Encrypt cab file to kdz file"
  6. Click the folder icon
  7. Choose the location of the cab you downloaded for L45C firmware
  8. Encrypt cab -> kdz Program will freeze up. DO NOT EXIT until program says Done!!! Otherwise it won't finish converting.
  9. Close program
  10. Open KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
  11. "Type" choose CDMA
  12. Choose in "Phonemode": Emergency
  13. Click the folder icon and choose the kdz file that UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe just made.
  14. Click Launch software update and enjoy!
 
This is a load off my troubled mind! I've been working on some roms for this phone and dreaded the possibility of bricking. You may have just saved my future sanity.

23:48:39 : LoadLibrary Error(126)

which basically means the damn .cab didnt come with a "model.dll"

It did come with one I looked. Hmmm
I tested this process already and it worked fine for someone else over team viewer.

i installed arearom and engrom , both appear to work, on my lgl45c, but absolutley no touchscreen ...this was my last hope since no backup was made

Are you sure you don't have the l55c??? This would not work for that....
 
Can anyone that at least have this phone create and post a nandroid backup...my phone cant be fixed with this method cause I'm stuck in a cwm bootloop
 
Hello, could you help me? I have my LG L45C does not out of "download mode". Not to do, only display in the screen with the logo, I removed the battery and nothing has changed. Sorry, I speak spanish.

That's weird.
What's weirder is my laptop randomly stopped booting so now I have no PC till I can get windows repair to work or reinstall windows 7 :( so I can't find an alternative for you guys at the moment, will find one though :)

Thank you. So, any suggestions for the errors? I'm not home right now, but if you have anything I can give feedback on the results tomorrow.
