Root how to unbrick phone on mac LG Motion.

Hi, I posted on someone else old post because I couldn't figure out how to make a new thread. I'm apologizing lol sorry.

I recently rooted my phone today and when the battery died and I recharged it the LG sign appeared with words underneath it saying "Morningcall cannot be verified". I tried looking at forums and videos, but I'm on a Macbook and I can't open half of the files they recommend to unbreak my phone. I tried hooking my phone up to the computer, but its not reading it. I tried factory reseting it, but still not working.

I can really use some help on how to unroot my LG Motion on a Macbook.

Not sure how to do it on the Mac OS itself, but you could always run a different OS (Windows, Linux) through a virtual machine a la Virtualbox. Other Apple-specific ways would be to run Parallels or Boot Camp. Not too familiar with the last two, but Virtualbox is fairly straightforward to setup, just search the interwebs for guides.

I got my hands on a computer that use windows, but now its not recognizing my phone :/. I looked at all these different ways of maybe helping the problem, but none of them are working. Some guy told me to put a Rom on my sd card and then put it back in my cell phone then hard reset it, so I'm trying that out . I have no idea what I'm doing lol...it didn't work. I don't have an install zip option while factory reseting

Install the LG USB driver (check the sticky thread)
Pull down the notification bar and try different connection method (try LG Software or Media if it's on Charge Only Mode)
Try to restart the phone
Try to restart the computer
Try different USB port

The problem is that I'm stuck on the LG symbol screen with the words "Morningcall cannot be verified", so I can't pull down the notification bar or change anything. My sister has the same phone as me and hers phone is identified with the computer. We used the same USB cable as well. I will look into downloading a LG USB driver

oh i see, then you have to turn on the download mode of your phone then flash official LG Motion firmware to your phone via PC.

after flashing is over you will have factory reset LG Motion

OMG Thank you soo much. I got it to identify my phone with your help, which mean I was able to use the KDZ program to unroot my phone. You are really the best, I wish I could hug you. Thank you very much, I really appreciate the help =)

glad i could be a help.

now if you want to play with lg motion more...

the reason why you got morning call cannot be verified was, you have deleted or modified one of the system apps (google movie, google music, google magazine or framework) protected by the secured LG Motion Kernel,

if you install insecure kernel or a ROM with insecure kernel, you can bypass the morning call error and delete whichever you want

I was thinking about trying it again since I know how to fix the problem, but I don't know where to find these insecure kernels or ROMs. I also, don't know how to put them on my phone. Maybe I'll Youtube some videos and see if its easy enough for me lol.

For cyanogen you don't need to install a kernel since it has it's own, but if you want a kernel with more features(like governors and overclock) then you can install one. If you decide to go with a stock based rom, the rom post should say if it comes with a kernel.

In any case, here's a kernel I made with some more features and compatible with cyanogen and stock based roms that will allow the removal of any apps on your phone without giving you the morning call error...

Simple to install... You just go into your recovery and flash the zip file.
