Hello, I just rooted my phone but there is still no option for USB tethering built into Android. This is the main reason that I went through the process of rooting. If someone could tell/show me how to do this I would be very grateful or if there is an application in the market that I can download that will allow me to *easily* tether without downloading anything to my computer, that would work too but would not be preferred. Thank you in advance.

Download PDANet from the market, also go here PdaNet -- USB Tether/Bluetooth DUN for Android to download the computer counterpart to your laptop or desktop computer.

That is possible too, but I've found that the direct cable has better speeds... and doesn't work too well to use Quick Settings if you're trying to run it from a Desktop without a wifi adapter.
