how to update android 2.2.1 ?

i have a galaxy mini s5570 with android 2.2.1
how can i update this android version ?
cause i can't install updated apps like " Go SMS " or " Viber "

Officially the mini made it to 2.3, but that's dependant on whether or not your carrier released it. Can you trying updating via Settings -> About Phone? Is there an option for Software Update?

there isn't such an option like this in that menu !

Hi Folks,
Please tell me if I will be able to upgrade android version from 2.2.1 to 2.3.5 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace in 2021 as well. I want to do a factory reset. I suppose it sets back android to 2.2.1 also. My phone is 10 years old.
