Help How to update rooted X2

Verizon just released a new update for my motorola droid x 2. My droid is rooted with a stock rom.
I have removed some system apps but I have backed up most of them. (Verizon mobile, city id etc).
When I start the update it restarts my phone and then says the update fails. How do I update my phone? thanks in advance.

You have to perform a SBF using the stock 2.3.3 file. Then do a master reset. This will restore your phone back to it's stock configuration. After that you should be able to accept the OTA update.

Yes, you can do the SBF, again it resets you to stock so that you can do the update. You will lose everything if you do the master reset so you should back up your data first. If you don't update nothing happens, it just stays the way you have it now.
